Avara’s rental property at the corner of Höyrykatu and Veturitie in Central Pasila has been completed, and the majority of residents are moving into their new homes today. The property comprises a total of 135 apartments and five street-level commercial spaces.
The apartment mix is diverse, consisting of studios, two-room, three-room, and four-room family apartments. For instance, the three-room apartments vary widely in size from 54 to 75 square meters. The commercial spaces range from 50 to 247 square meters.
The property is part of the Avara Vuokrakodit I Ky fund’s affordable rental portfolio. Its construction followed the principles of sustainable development and meets Energy Class A requirements.
Fira Oy served as the general contractor for the project, with architectural design by Arkkitehtitoimisto Kanttia 2. Suvi Pokela of Alva Interiors created the interior design concepts for the common areas and apartments. The overall design emphasizes comfort, functionality, and timeless aesthetics.
A total of 235 new Avara rental homes were completed in Central Pasila during 2025. All properties are situated near excellent transport connections and services, and they have attracted significant interest from housing applicants from the outset.
