135 new Avara rental homes to be built in Central Pasila

Avara is implementing a new short-term interest subsidy loan-based rental housing project in Central Pasila. A development project of 135 apartments and 5 commercial premises is currently starting in the Pasila Ratapihakorttelit area. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The new property development project will complement the property portfolio of the Avara Vuokrakodit I Ky fund, which invests in affordable housing. The contractor is Fira Oy and the architectural design is by Arkkitehtitoimisto Kanttia 2.

A total of 235 new Avara rental apartments in Ratapihakorttelit in 2025

Ratapihakorttelit, or the railway yard blocks, are located close to the services and transport connections of Central Pasila, right next to Pasila train station and Mall of Tripla. This new property development project being now launched by Avara is located next to excellent transport connections and amenities north of Tripla at the corner of Höyrykatu and Veturitie streets. Avara has another new property development project under construction in the adjacent block on Tulistimenkatu, with 56 non-subsidised and 44 short-term interest-subsidised rental apartments. A total of 235 new Avara rental homes will be completed in the area in 2025.

As usual, the construction of these Avara homes takes into account the principles of sustainable development and they are implemented in accordance with the requirements of energy class A, says Tuomas Rantsi, Chief Operating Officer at Avara.

Diverse apartment mix with five street-level retail spaces

The property, which will be completed at the corner of Höyrykatu and Veturitie, will include 135 rental apartments, with a diverse mix of apartment types. Apartment types range from studios to four-room family apartments. A wide range of variations will be available for three-room apartments ranging from 54 to 75 square metres, for example. In addition to residential apartments, five different types of commercial premises will be completed on the street level, ranging in size from 50 to 247 square metres.
