A property development comprising 100 rental apartments in Helsinki’s Keski-Pasila has now been completed, and residents are moving into their new homes today. The project consists of two buildings located in a central area next to Mall of Tripla and Pasila railway station. A new primary school and daycare centre are also located nearby, further enhancing the area’s appeal, especially for families.
At Tulistimenkatu 4, a property development with 44 affordable rental apartments financed with short-term interest subsidy loans has been completed, complementing the Avara Vuokrakodit Fund I. Tulistimenkatu 6 now comprises 56 non-subsidised rental apartments as part of the Avara Residential Fund II. The contractor for both projects was Jatke Uusimaa Oy, and the architectural design was handled by Arkkitehdit Hannunkari & Mäkipaja Oy.
Sustainable housing and well-designed homes
The development offers a range of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments from 28 to 56 square metres. The buildings are constructed in accordance with A energy efficiency standards and sustainable development principles. Features include 70% green roof coverage, a vertical green wall and water-saving eco-flow fixtures.. Residents also benefit from a shared car, a common recycling room serving the entire block, and shared underground parking.
The apartments and common areas have been carefully designed to support comfort, quality, and smooth everyday living. Both properties feature interior design concepts created by Hanna Tuominen (Lilla Creations), offering a harmonious and timeless atmosphere that enhances tenant well-being.
Strong interest confirms demand for well-designed and well-located rental homes
Leasing began in the spring and attracted strong interest from the start. The initial leasing of Tulistimenkatu I broke Avara’s previous records, with nearly all apartments reserved within a week. Tulistimenkatu II also reached near full occupancy by the day of completion.
Today marks the tangible result of several years of close and effective cooperation with Jatke on this project. It is rewarding to see these new homes coming to life as residents move in and begin a new chapter on Tulistimenkatu.
